how could you prove that scientifically?
-
try to stop thinking entirely for 10 minutes straight
-
I believe people can receive and process input from the outside world, but can't choose what to think
-
how does thinking happen then absent choice
-
it's a biological process like any other. Your brain works the same as other organs I think
-
can someone change their mind? Can a stomach choose to not digest?
-
What determines the "choice" to change their mind is a biological process that they do not control.

It's still deterministic. You don't control randomness or chaos. Where does your free will come into it?

But it can't be. As I've said, if you throw chance into the equation, there's still no possibility of free will.
