@wuerzibaerli The Tesla has a range of 275 miles and charges in 3.5 hours at home and 30 minutes at a supercharging station. -
@SamHarrisOrg just say when you bought your e-car... ;) -
@SamHarrisOrg Ah! Bought your indulgence, then ;). Ecologism seems to be your religious blind spot. Let's wait. And see.

@SamHarrisOrg sorry for my ignorance but this is an honest question, are electric cars really viable yet? -
@JohnRyanYoung Yes they are. Teslas are some of the nicest cars on the road. - 1 more reply

@SamHarrisOrg main obstacle would be that we'd still need the oil to generate the electricity for the cars. Sticky problem. -
@llapgochmaster No we don't. We do it primarily with coal--but should be doing with solar, wind, and nuclear. -
@SamHarrisOrg Still, to increase USA energy generation by roughly a third in order to cover transport needs isn't trivial.

@propagandhi so we (errbody) could cue up 'Hadron Collision' and support neither... if we have the free will to do so ;) (a fan of both yas) -
@unclejim100 i’m a fan of harris’s stuff too (primarily the neuroscience). prob why I find his American exceptionalism so frustrating. -
@propagandhi I can sympathize... I respect him for being willing to change/update his mind (re: Scahill's work http://m.samharris.org/blog/item/the-pleasure-of-changing-my-mind …)
