@SamHarrisOrg @julesevans77 Did Jules read your book? Clearly yes!
Strange and rather dismissive response to his article, Sam.

@Existtherapy@julesevans77 I explicitly argue against fatalism.... -
@SamHarrisOrg@julesevans77 You argue against fatalism but also against free will. Many are confused by this and draw unhappy conclusions. -
@Existtherapy@julesevans77 But these are misunderstandings that I anticipated and answered. What more can an author do? -
@SamHarrisOrg@Existtherapy@julesevans77 Are these mis understandings or different interpretations of your words that you misunderstand?

@SamHarrisOrg@julesevans77 Perhaps you underestimate the effect your book has on those who take it more seriously than you intended it. -
@emmyzen@SamHarrisOrg@julesevans77 I don't see why the argument in the book undermines therapy at all. Far from it. -
@graysjjohnston@SamHarrisOrg@julesevans77 The point made is not that the book undermines therapy. It leads some to giving up trying. -
@emmyzen@SamHarrisOrg@julesevans77 and I imagine for others it's a great release to know they are not "choosing" their repetitions. -
@graysjjohnston@SamHarrisOrg@julesevans77 We don't choose repetitions, but fall into them. We can learn to alter them:this brings relief.
