@robbensinger I wouldn't hesitate if I did. :p I am curious what you thought of the Craig and Harris debate.

.@Intrinsic29 Craig won that debate. Harris didn't address Craig's main arguments, or even clearly explain why they warranted no reply.

@Intrinsic29 Having read your exchange, sounds like @robbensinger has decided his own (idiosyncratic) criteria for "winning" the debate.

.@ToKTeacher @Intrinsic29 I also shouldn't give in to the impulse to think of debates as competitions. What matters is it was a bad debate.

@robbensinger @ToKTeacher would it be possible for Harris to have a good debate by your definition against Craig's tactics without losing?

@Intrinsic29 @ToKTeacher Yes, but tough. Rosenberg did better against Craig than Harris, Ehrman. Sometimes the winning move is not to play.

@robbensinger @Intrinsic29 Isn't Haris not playing to Craig's tactics what caused you to say Harris lost?

@jmacglashan @Intrinsic29 Just don't debate Craig, unless you want to research him extensively and improvise many arguments and responses.

@robbensinger @jmacglashan Why not do what @SamHarrisOrg did and provide a better, more persuasive argument and possibly sway fence sitters?

@Intrinsic29 @jmacglashan @SamHarrisOrg Not ideal for debate format. But maybe. I'd be blaringly clear that that's what I'm doing, and why.

@robbensinger Imagine that you had been invited to debate the "thesis of your book," only to learn 5 minutes before, that Craig would start.

@SamHarrisOrg Oh, that's even more extreme than I had gathered from your follow-up note. I'm really disappointed in @RFupdates.
