Way to punch down, Harris. Why don't you contend with serious philosophical questions, like those posed by Feyerabend in Against Method, or Polanyi in Personal Knowledge?
-
Yes. Why don’t you argue against everyone in history who has a different chance than you? Go on....just spend 3 seconds with a million or so and defeat their arguments. Start with the winged horse.
-
Nice strawman. You're actually supporting my tweet to Harris--why bother arguing with Christians when you can examine your own belief system more closely by exploring the arguments of its more thoughtful critics.
-
It’s just so much fun arguing with Christians aside their current stance to not disclose pending sexual abuse on children in confession. This is a more vile and sinister argument which obviously they feel their God supports.. I would rather me made of straw than defend that!
-
Yes. This is precisely the argument that should be made. So, why not punch up at the church hierarchy for their abuses?
-
Well it’s good to agree on something Adam

Religion certainly seems to do well with hate, alright.
-
....It’s also good with punishment and fear. Anyone want to burn forever for choosing the wrong “God”. How loving.
-
You don't even have to 'choose' the wrong god... you just have to have the temerity of being born in the wrong country and as a consequence inherit the wrong belief systems!!!
