I'd love to hear, what @SamHarrisOrg gets out of these events - money wise. Is it just that or do you expect to grow your audience?
Other than that I dont see a reason to engage with JP.

Would you have a discussion with jordan in front of a big audience?
-
is this question for real?
-
What's your answer?
-
Of course no, why would I? I like to ask him a couple questions ;-)
-
OK then. Whatever floats your boat. I would happily do a dozen podcasts with the guy.
-
perfectly reasonable from a business perspective ;-)

@jordanbpeterson FYI 5 minutes of jibber-jabber, most not grounded in reality, is not an answer. And no, it's not at all "complicated".Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@SamHarrisOrg Sorry Sam but after those comments about atheist morality and our inability to be good without religious moral guide; I think Peterson is long gone and you are beating a dead horse here. Loved the talk but his woo woo is too strong imo. -
Problem with atheist morality, as lost on most of us atheists, is that we overestimate the capacity of others to think like us, while we underestimate our own evolutionary mechanisms which lead us to religious thinking. Sam's moral system is religious, even if not supernatural.

It’s easiest to believe he’s debating with you largely because he loves to hear the sound of his own voice. Way to avoid his eroding landslide like a hawk.

See, to me this is a useless ad-hominem. I'm not a fan of Jordan & disliked 12 Rules (women are chaos?) but I liked him here; he was genuinely interested, very respectful, listened very intently, flipped immediately to deep listening mode, can see it in his facial expressions.
-
Seems to listen better now because he’s listened to himself on last debate. There’s an anxious indulgence about JP diatribes that have him dancing around the point like a court jester. He’s a riddle master, a wordsmith, the dj of superfluous dissection.
-
This is a fairly dishonest take on Peterson's approach. He general goes to great lengths to ensure all aspects of a discussion are understood.https://twitter.com/concretemilk/status/1039149672655450118 …

agree. I may disagree (a lot), but he's a respectful & careful conversationalist / debater.
