Unfortunately, @SamHarrisOrg, you provide cover for people with detestable views that are poisoning young and otherwise promising minds. And, when I called you out on it, you epitomized hypocrisy by censoring me--and yourself. I am fighting white supremacy. Get in the ring, Sam.

Christian....(consider this the internet equivalent of putting a friendly hand on your shoulder and looking you straight in in the eye)... just stop. It’s okay to get it wrong once in a while. Sam is not your enemy.
-
Nah, he's not wrong. Harris has been hanging out with and providing cover for some questionable characters lately.
-
MLK quote: "While not himself a racist, Mr. Goldwater articulates a philosophy which gives aid and comfort to the racist. His candidacy and philosophy would serve as an umbrella under which extremists of all stripes would stand..." at a certain point Sam's racism or not is moot.
-
Its not like he's actually out there fighting "real" white nationalists. He's promoting race realists and making thought experiments about raining bombs on brown people and refusing to have serious experts on his show (in case they 'play the race card'- what?!!)
-
So no, while it brings me no pleasure to say it, Sam Harris is the enemy of anyone who fights against racism and doesn't want those horrible ideas to continue to spread.

Why don't you do it? On Rubin Report a guest falsely claimed Jews in Canada are staging hate crimes against themselves to create division, and Rubin nodded and agreed. Why are you funding a show where white nationalist propaganda is spouted unchallenged like this?
-
Describing Sam as funding white nationalist propaganda? These are just giant leaps. It's unhinged behavior Also it's not a debate show, it's an interview.. Nationalistic ideas are allowed. Japan is Nationalistic. You don't have to agree and Dave doesn't have to debate them.
-
Can you point to anything I actually said that is wrong?

Jesus, Sam. I used to have respect for you. If you honestly think that
@cpicciolini is your enemy while@charlesmurray and@benshapiro are people with whom you want to ally to build your utopia, then you're either not the man I thought you were or you're truly lost. -
Also, shout out to
@NiceMangos for an awesome podcast. She deserves more attention.

Let's put aside your bouts of specious reasoning for a second, Sam, and focus on Peterson. Are you seriously contending that there is not a strong thread of Christian, pseudoscientific, pro-Caucasian, conservative, male-chauvinistic reasoning from Peterson?
-
Likewise, on a separate note, should you genuinely be committed to debate, then why not live stream all your talks or at least immediately upload them to Youtube? You'd still sell the tickets and receive what I'm guessing it a healthy income from them
-
If you're going to blame someone for that, blame
@ThePangburn who monetizes those specific events and withholds them for periods of time. All of Sam's original content is available for free across multiple digital platforms and is uploaded in a timely manner.

I think that
@SamHarrisOrg, in reaction to the apallingly unethical way in which he has been treated by the RegressiveLeft, has become too close to, and too forgiving of certain right-wing figures. But that's light years away from the idea that Sam himself is a white supremecist! -
I was just thinking the same thing this morning. Sam keeps railing against the "left" when he means the "extreme left". He really needs to specify, because he's giving the "regressive right" lots of sound bytes.

@EricRWeinstein has been good about this.https://twitter.com/EricRWeinstein/status/1027628697862324224 … -
It seems Christian is unable to imagine it possible to be truly honest and have no hidden agenda. A real commitment to honesty is so rare and dishonesty so normalised in the pursuit of social justice that he is unable to believe anyone but those who speak hatred are sincere.
-
Terms like "scientific racism" and "race realism" carry the implicit assumption that honesty is incompatible with non-racism. You have to wonder what it says about someone's real beliefs if the only people they accept are who they appear to be are Nazis.
-
In my opinion, racist realists and scientific racists are neo Nazis. In many ways, they are more danagerous than people who honestly self-identify as Nazis, because of the sheep-like masses who fall for their toxic ideas when they are dressed up with clever-sounding euphemisms.
-
What about scientists who acknowledge that the current data show differences in average IQ & standard deviation between groups that roughly line up with "races", but think this should be totally irrelevant to public policy decisions & it's a useless fact (if it is a fact)?
