I've read a couple of your books. You're a smart guy. Why are you associating with these assholes?

Agreed. Sam’s work is truly brilliant but Peterson so often borders on almost complete incoherence.
-
He wraps word salads around utterly basic concepts, and his fans think he’s a genius. It’s quite remarkable. If you can stomach it, listen to him on Rogan’s most recent podcast: it’s like listening to an ADHD teenager right after jerking off to a Tony Robbins video.

Sam just out of curiosity, what kind of mattress do you recommend? Memory foam?

Still waiting to see the footage of Sam and Jordan in their first few talks together...why is this not available by now?
-
If they release these conversations as “pay only” I’ll be deeply disturbed at the irresponsibility of handling these as “important conversations”. And any words like “free speech absolutist” will have to be stricken from being used with any of those supporting
@ThePangburn -
Such conversations may never have happened without an agreement with Pangburn to only release these at a later date to a restricted audience, because of the size of the venues. They need as many people to go as possible to make it economically viable. Not a free speech issue.
-
Spot on Steve. Tis the economics of it. Hopefully it becomes regular enough that many more will get to go in the future....btw. u r no the true gunner are you?
-
It's about understanding that these conversations may never had happened without these restrictions. Aha no not the real deal. I like to roam the Twittersphere anonymously...

Can’t wait for these events to be made available to your subscribers or more generally to the public. I have heard great things about the last few events, especially from
@ThePangburn on his podcast. - 1 more reply

Seeing that many people show up for an academic discussion is something that make me hopeful.
-
It's not really an academic discussion though, is it? It's the refutation of a combination of new-age religious woo-woo fused with John Birch Society social commentary. Harris lending legitimacy to a fraud like Peterson is not ennobling.

And there it is

I did not want to listen to JP’s lecturing and poor argumentation. I get that he starts from a very weak position, having to defend an illogical stance with logic, so there is a lot of going around it...but I was hoping to hear about more relevant topics from you and DM.
-
Excluding that, I was happy to be able to see you LIVE. You were brilliant letting JP talk for 10 minutes and then evaporating his “argument” with one line! Still though, he managed to kill the dialogue.

Sam, as a Florida resident, I can tell you that your intellectual conversations are sorely needed. Come by, ASAP. P.S.: watch out for the drivers.
