If I had a badass voice like Chris Voss I could probably negotiate a high level corporate deal just by reading a phone book out loud.

@lieberman_jason This guys a great negotiator but it makes him a difficult (though entertaining) interviewee...like all experienced cops, he doesn't make it easy to get anything out of him, he's always holding something back. Makes for an interesting dynamic between him and Sam. -
Sounds like an interesting little sit down
-
This guy is great Jimmy...Sam asks him if he keeps track of how many hostage situations he's been in and he says sure, "Like making notches on your bedpost...or however you want to track it"....you could tell he didn't exactly want to put it that way
...he tried to change it...

Good setup. Waiting on the punchline. . . Wait. You’re serious?

Sam is at his best when he’s having valuable discussions and not engaging with social media the way the rest of us do.
-
I was disappointed to see him retreat and surrender.
-
That’s definitely one way to look at, and you wouldn’t be wrong, but there’s also the reality of getting sucked into the endless social media cycle. Sometimes you gotta know when to quit, even if you’re in the right.
-
I think after a while its just not beneficial on any level to continue an argument, when we heard every reason multiple times. All that said I was incredibly disappointed how the whole Picciolini stuff went down.
-
I think that’s
wrong. There IS such a thing as retreat & surrender, but this wasn’t it. More a case of ROI. Trolls flame throw w/no investment in truth or nuance, & SO much energy expended in the responses & just to follow along. Just let it go & do content for fans. -
As big a fan as I am (and patreon), I doubt Harris puts substantial Investment into his work anymore. I considered his Twitter engagement part of it. Now by his admission he reads mostly on Kindle, a poor medium for anything that has footnotes.
-
I have nothing on which to base an opinion on his work rate other than the quality & quantity of his work...and based on that I’d say it’s still pretty high. As far as twitter engagement...I like what Chris D’elia says...
-
...”Twitter is free. You want the good shit, pay for it.” I know u sd u did, & so do I, but I wouldn’t judge their work on what u see on twitter.

Does NO ONE else hear this guy and think he’s a bit of a slippery manipulator ?
