Within The Way Out, she has learned to identify and cope with her triggers, and the staff has helped her see that what she gives to others is what she gets back. She now has a new purpose, taking care of her 'babies' in the Garden Club 🌱 and learning to grow herbs for the cooks.

General Pershing was instrumental in establishing our long-standing relationship with the US military. He helped us send Salvation Army lassies to the front lines of WWI to provide emotional and spiritual support to the soldiers fighting in the battles. ❤️

Red Cross volunteers assisted more than 100 people displaced by a fire in Winthrop Friday afternoon. The Winthrop Senior Center opened its doors Saturday so that residents affected by the fire could receive assistance from the Red Cross, Salvation Army and the Town of Winthrop.

Because grandpa owed so much to , he founded the first Hispanic ministry in the Midwest & several in SoCal later in life. He went on to employ over 100 Latino immigrants at Chicago Uniform Co & co-signed for their 1st home, as The Salvation Army did for him ❤️

My Grandpa Guerrero was a tailor from Chile who came to the US, sponsored by , to make uniforms for them. Eventually he opened Chicago Uniform Co making uniforms for airline pilots as well. Every Xmas he gave his son in law (my dad) a custom-made suit. He LOVED them
