The idea that commonsense and decency should be engulfed in the trend of political correctness is both disingenuous and an insult to the intelligence. If everybody can't agree that defending war crimes and eulogizing mass-murderers are appaling and wrong then we are really doomed

When people use Political Correctness pejoratively, I substitute the phrase “showing respect to others”. It really shows the hollowness of their arguments.

We live in a binary world. People believe that strong criticism/reasonable hatred is a form of political correctness. There’s no defence for a genocide denialist. That will stain his reputation forevermore. In fact, that is his reputation now.
