I accidentally drilled through a fire alarm cable at a big theatre in London and the whole building got evacuated. Thankfully there wasn’t a show on at that time of day but I got a telling off from a fireman and my boss, and the head of the venue. A couple of months later 1/2

I was struggling to solve a band monitor problem & came up with an ingenious rigging solution which involved taking out a couple of ceiling panels. The dust released by that action went straight into the smoke detector and set it off again. Whole building evacuation again.

Also accidentally set a fire alarm off at uni whilst shoving a mattress from a set down some stairs & I let go of it with the idea it would slide easily but it bounced all the way down and made direct contact with the break glass fire alarm. Whole building evacuated.

Similar thing with my wife then; in a big famous London theatre years ago she was steaming clothes in the wardrobe and of course this triggered the fire alarm and everyine was out luckily no shiw at thtat time of the day! 😁😆🤣

i used to work in a call centre and the building work set off the smoke alarms multiple times a day it was GREAT
