Please let all the refugees out of detention so they can live and work in Australia. Have a heart 💓 - being locked up indefinitely when no crime has been committed is just plain wrong and heartless. Seeking refuge is not illegal. Imagine how they must feel 😥

Women should feel safe walking alone in public. Women should feel safe at work. Women should feel safe at home. Women should feel safe online. Women should feel safe in public transportation. Women should feel safe EVERYWHERE. RT if you agree!

Fathers Day: my father has been absent from my life for almost 57 years - the first 44 years were his choice; the rest have been my choice. There are worse things. Fathers Day is uncomfortable for me.

Problem is under-reporting & we’ve lost the primary lesson learnt: when ill - don’t soldier on. Stay home. Get better. Don’t spread bugs. Wait til physically we’ll with no brain-fog to get back to work & be at best performance! Those who report are exhibiting #goodwill Not all do

Dr, anyone actually testing and reporting their results at the moment is doing this out of good will. What is the ethical justification of a mandate at this point in the pandemic? Can’t we just provide leave for those who are sick?

No matter where we come from or how we get here, we should all have the right to work to support ourselves or pursue new opportunities through study - with the security of a fair safety net, if we need it. Let people seeking safety work, study & rebuild:
I disagree with Joe Biden on most policy issues. But I agree with every word he’s saying tonight about democracy. Every single word. Because right now, it’s not about policy issues. It’s about defending democracy. Which is why a Joe like me is on the same team as a Joe like him.

When Sussan Ley throws around the ‘union thugs’ slur, does she know that the average Trade Union member in Australia is a university training, middle aged woman? Is she really vilifying nurses and teachers during the teacher/healthcare worker shortage?

Daily reminder that the $244b in tax cuts going to the ultra wealthy could instead be used for public services everyday people in Australia need. Essential public services like free early childhood education & care.

The story out of Knox this week is beyond disappointing. Misogyny, racism & anti-Semitism have no place in our society. That children should be spouting these things is doubly sad. We must do better; all of us must face & challenge these attitudes in our community.

OMG. Late to this, but WTAF...? This is an idiotic response to a clear and present danger - not only to immunocompromised people, but the entire population. Talk about negligence. You. Do. Not. Want. To. Get. Long. COVID. Utterly furious at our governments. #LongCOVID

The weekly pandemic death toll is higher now than in January, and Labor are in power. Albanese's first big move as prime minister is to reduce quarantine time for the infected, and encouraging people not to wear masks on planes. #Pandemic2022 twitter.com/AlboMP/status/…

We have a job crisis in Australia. Yet at the #skillsummit there’s been nothing on the facts we have tens of thousands of refugees and people seeking asylum who could help fill these shortages but can’t because we either won’t let them work or go to university to get those skills
