You actually honestly don't know why crime occurs. I mean, from your remarks one would think you do, but you clearly don't understand why people do crime. You should REALLY talk to folks who are _in prison_ for "violating the 3 strikes rules". Not murderers. Do this, please.

1/ LOL. I majored in criminology when I was a kid, and have kept apace with developments since. Crime "occurs" (beware passive voice) due to various factors, but the vast majority of street criminals have low intelligence, low impulse control, and little empathy.
