Please don’t tell an asymptomatic hypertensive patient that their blood pressure reading can’t be correct because they would’ve “stroked out.” The emotional damage done to the the patient and family is burnt into their brains. Quietly refer them to a specialist.
Start treatment.. rule out secondary etiologies.. refer to cardiology or nephrology depending on the findings. Or have them follow wit PCP. #primarycare doctors bread butter?
