The answer to this kneeling issue is to leave teams in the locker room. We were always in the locker room during the anthem before 2009 with the exception of a MNF game the week after 9/11 in Green Bay. Nobody had an issue that they weren’t out on the field for it before 2009.

Exactly. And each game I am sure the announcers will keep us informed, who wasnt on the field. League is making a mountain out of a mole hill

But then the owners would miss out on that sweet, sweet DOD/USAA sponsorship money

Might be “an” answer but seems more like avoidance. NFL and owners are missing an opportunity to be leaders in this discussion. We all know they’re worried about $ if kneeling allowed but how significant would any ‘boycott’ be? Ev1 gon watch sthg else ev 🌞day 4eva now?

What they really need to do is stop playing the anthem before the games altogether. It's not the Olympics--nobody needs to be reminded of what country they are in.
