I don't play Standard but I've enjoyed watching Standard more in Theros than in Eldraine and WAR before it
Curious to get other people's opinions on a topic that came up on the podcast yesterday. Current Standard is good in the sense that there are several playable decks and no one deck is dominant, but do you personally find it fun?

Unfortunately Arena killed the local standard scene so I don't get to play standard anymore.

I'm mainly a commander player and didn't touch Arena until the Golos Field deck came around. Played with it until got banned. I loved all versions of it. Now I'm back to Commander only.

My biggest issue with Standard is the best 2 decks are control and mono red which makes brewing near impossible. Playing weird decks and brewing is half the fun of magic imo. Also a lot of mono red games kind of end before anything happens Overall fun and balanced tho

It’s a better format than previous Standards, but I would give it a 6 or 7 out of 10. Historic is sweet though, super fun and not nearly played enough.

Historic is weird. I'm wondering if the botched launch killed the format before it got a chance. People say its fun, but then whenever I ask if we should play it more it's a resounding "no" from my audience.

At this exact moment it's okay-ish. There are several playable decks, but not that many. In competitive tournaments you mostly see the 3-4 same decks over and over. It will be sad to have Ravnica sets go, but I can't wait to say bye bye to a few cards from War of the Spark.

I picked, “meh, it’s okay” only because I mostly play Arena (at this point, i should say, exclusively. Winter travel is bad) and opponent decks always seem to be the same four archetypes to counter my deck. It feels a lot less random than it would for fnm pairings, which is meh.
