This is quite a graphic to put the important CO2 emissions per capita into perspective. The real problem nations are the ones in the top 20 with large populations, which aren’t always the ones getting the main blame (ie China)

Well, actually would say that knowledge/information is only one small-ish element in caring. A sense of connection w/ the natural world, feelings of empowerment/ responsibility are probably even more important (but difficult to convey in a short tweet I know)

Gobsmacked at the voluntary input of plastic into water system but what an interesting 'problem' - we'll definitely see more of these complexities!! (I bet if you're a researcher your stomach will turn at watching this )

Well, just now this has gone up another level. HR claims we now must check the passport of our seminar speakers! Did this happen to anyone else? I would find this extremely offensive.

On the joys of submitting a (clinical) paper in academia Or How systems and rules have taken precedence over substantive research questions and findings (as pointed out in the thread, this is also a question of what resources are available to researchers)

YES. This. What a wonderfully hilarious (and sad) 'thought experiment' about experiences of men and women in academia. Please, I beg you all to read this and change the way things are!
