The word Comorbidity sent us into a panic when first encountered when a relative was in hospital. We heard MORBID & immediately thought of death.

Talking about design systems as something apart from content strategy is setting us back *years*—how can a product team choose appropriate components without clearly understanding content requirements (and the "why" behind them)?

Before I will move on from "pee" and "poo" and the language of health, I had to share this one.

So, pee, poo and fart are in! A doc writing to your doc about their appointment with you is out - they should write to you directly and copy your GP or other relevant medic. Some important issues that we staff need to take on board.

The language we use in healthcare is so important. Our professional identity and the relationships we foster are built with it, yet it can be a huge barrier to effective patient care. I have had to translate many hospital letters for family and friends. How can we change this?
