    Hair straighteners left plugged in caused a fire at a flat in in Fortunately, no one was injured but the flat was badly damaged. We reminded residents about our top tips for avoiding beauty blazes

    Thank you so much to the children at Windmill Hill Primary School in Chapeltown, , for writing these letters to our firefighters at Penistone 🙌💛 Things like this make working over the period, and serving our community, totally worthwhile!

    But we think it's a timely reminder, if you use an open fire, log burner or wood burning stove, you should GET YOUR CHIMNEY SWEPT! Ideally, every 6 months and at least once a year
