    Last Friday, Nicholas Colbert, a 36-year-old veteran, hanged himself in Cleveland's Cuyahoga County jail, where he was being held on $1,500 bond on a drug possession charge. He was the 9th person to die in the county's jails this year, the 5th by suicide.

    But for those who do stick with it, organizing is its own reward because there are times when we win. There's no other feeling like that. Those wins are few and far between but they do happen. It's the relationships we build and those sporadic wins that keep us in it.
