Not sure what you'd need to read to support feeding America and ending the prison slave system. But the less the working class need to rely on their employer in order to survive, the better.
Looking at building more localized food sources and sustainable farms close to major populations could serve to dramatically reduce food costs. Ending Private Prisons is a must - but public prisons still serve a purpose. Criminal justice reform to reduce prison populations.
These liberal reforms aren't enough. Food is a human right, and must be free. Public prisons must end along with private prisons, they're are inherently inhumane.
You’re on a level of socialism the US isn’t ready for. Community gardens and such would be the most you’re going to see for at least another 8-10 years. Public prisons aren’t inherently inhumane. We should be pursuing a criminal system like Norway has, they’re on a diff. level.
Don't forget that voluntary incarceration is a fantastic way to achieve universal health care. And since prison spending doesn't count, it's something we can actually afford!
