My son is too young to compete (11), but is building along with Pororo Game Jam, following a recent Expert Creator Workshop’s guidelines on process.

This is on my casual “My Kids Made That” playlist. I’ll update as he makes progress.
I’m encouraging him to use Agile sprints for a playable game at each stage. He’s been designing board and video games since about age 6 and has tried many tools. He can’t wait to add the logic!

He made an initial version that was mostly flat with islands, so I made a practice world to show him how he could really take greater advantage of verticality in a land’s dimensions (96x96x128). He made this new version surprisingly fast.

First thing he started talking about now that he’s begun the logic was setting up CyberDragon’s RNG for a fun side quest. I advised to start simple, aim for a fully playable minimum viable product, then add it if time allows.
He’s a bit of a mini me. 🤣

His Logic (Day 1):
✅ Collect quests+objects
✅ Speaker components detect, trigger quests
✅ Toggle behaviors
✅ Invisible logic
✅ Tagged object triggers void behavior, removes blocks to access areas & objects
Only asked for help when hierarchy destroyed objects/made invisible.

My son’s Pororo game is done!! Not an official game jam entry since he’s only 11, but it’s in the gallery to play, and he’d love feedback.
Pororo’s Treehouse, currently p. 31 in the gallery

Final map and some mini achievements to collect for completing things in different regions and finishing side quests.
He worked so hard! I owe him 100 $SAND for finishing by the deadline. 😁
