The national flag of the Republic of Ireland has vertical bands of green, white, orange 🇮🇪. Don’t confuse it with the flag of the Ivory Coast 🇨🇮 (orange, white, green). The flag in Northern Ireland is, well, complicated.

While we’re at it, a shamrock has 3 leaves ☘️ for the Holy Trinity and is a symbol of Ireland. The 4-leaf clover 🍀 is said to bring luck to its finder because of its purported rarity (it’s actually not that rare.) For tomorrow, you want the shamrock ☘️.

This! I ask on every manuscript—not because I think authors don’t know how their names are spelled, but because it’s easy to mistype and not catch the error when their focus moves to the main text. Better a query than an erratum.
