Why are we continuously pumping money into a failing industry? Why aren’t we helping struggling farmers create sustainable plant-based businesses, instead of watching them flounder?

Because they (for some unfathomable reason) vote republican.

Trump keeps touting a great economy and a lot of the press gives him a pass. 2019 GDP only 2.3% and the BIGGEST deficit ever does not count as a great economy.
-
It’s great if you are rich, but even the upper middle class is struggling to pay bills or save. Most Americans are 1 big expense away from financial ruin. He can say it’s great all he wants, but people aren’t feeling it.

Hmmm. 8 years ago. That was about the time that the economy started recovering from The Great Recession and now Trump is turning that momentum into sludge. Remember this, farmers. Don't stick with a losing hand.

@jodotcom@HillBeverlyhill@B52Malmet Stephanie ask yourself why are farmers drunk on Trump cool aide. This 29 billion unlike in the Auto bail out where America made money. This was nothing but a gift for stupidly. As much of this money went to farms owned by foreign own farms. -
The vast majority of $ went to corporate farms, not the family farmers who really needed it & who are failing without it. As with everything else, big money benefits, ordinary Americans suffer.

More than double the car bailout loans were. And we actually got our money back. 29 billion that went mostly to corporate farmers and solved nothing. This is the history of this administration.
