Because socialism is the state before communism. Most Russians believe they never achieved communism only socialism. Nice idea but needs capitalism to pay for it. As Margaret Thatcher said "the problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other people's money"

I'm an older voter who turned to anarchism/communism a few years ago after years of coming to terms with the fact that capitalism was harming me and others I care about. Socialism is about providing for the many, not the few. Venezuela is not socialism btw. it's state capitalism.
