HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE! Munetaka Murakami has set the NPB record with his 5th HR in consecutive at-bats! He’s already at 39 on the season, and it feels like his run at the history books is no where near to being finished!

In awe of the Prellerian commitment to the meme-vibe of "If I were a GM, I would simply go out and get players who are very good." No, it doesn't always work out, yes, there are always other factors to consider. And still! I would simply go out and get players who are very good.

So a wild afternoon for the #Rays, who bring in Jose Siri from the #Astros and DFA Brett Phillips. For those who think that it’s as simple as Phillips clearing waivers and going to Durham, you’re wrong: if Phillips does clear waivers, he doesn’t have to accept MiLB assignment.
