This really sucks that his channel is being nuked for a sample. But he should have changed his intro to an original content when he hit 1k subs. but hindsight is 20/20 He should try to reach out directly to the content owner to appeal instead of complaining to the void.

I'm not justifying it at all but this whole thing could have been avoided if he didn't use the clip. Also it appears it's a copyright CLAIM and not a strike which means that there's no real channel status change. He just needs to use a different intro going forward.

and 90% of that content is probably netting him pennies anyway. While I'm sure this company is being a dick by tagging the 1 second sample, it speaks volumes to the nature of copyright content on the internet. There is no minimum use to avoid copyright hits like this.

that's a poor argument; The RIAA has always been aggressively protective of their music since the advent of the cassette recorder. they literally sued kids - I don't put it past them to claim on 1 second of a song. I do feel bad for Tipster I really do. But it's always a risk

yeah without more information on the claim, your guess is as good as mine. I doubt he bought it from a set though. it's a 10 second intro clip so I'm not sure what part actually got dinged. He also got called out for it by a troll a month ago maybe that's what caused it
