Barcelona has been removing cars from key locations in neighbourhoods and turning them into green spaces. People living nearby have reported better rest, increased socialization and less noise and air pollution. Any city can do this - make streets quieter, safer, more liveable.

-pt of 6th Ave has off street tree-divided PBL (like Westlake Cycletrack)
-safe connection btwn S end SODO Trail & 6th Ave #SEAbikes @seabikeblog twitter.com/bobco85/status…

Looking good! This will better connect South Beacon Hill with Rainier Beach including the light rail station, cutting about half a mile off the previous walk/bike/roll route.

Nice work Raleigh. Let's do the same Seattle. Having a consistent no turn on red policy is best for safety and public understanding. Much easier to know what you're supposed to do when it's the same policy at every intersection.

Justice for all means a world where everyone has the safety and resources they need to truly thrive. On this #TransDayOfVisibility, we acknowledge that many trans people cannot safely be themselves in our cities.

Time to phase out floppy plastic posts, and give people cycling real protection.

I talked to a city traffic engineer and it turns out one of the reasons we don’t have real protected bike lanes is because drivers don’t like it when they hit concrete barriers and damage their cars so cyclists are left with plastic sticks and paint for protection.

This bill would allow more types of homes in more neighborhoods. Increasing affordability and walkability.
