SNCC 60th

The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee Legacy Project (SLP) Board of Directors is continuing SNCC’s 60-year tradition of encouraging the Black community to get out and vote.

To accomplish this, the SLP is partnering with the @NAACP to increase voter participation for the 2020 Presidential election in 10 battleground states: Florida, Georgia, Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Alabama.

The SLP/NAACP partnership is asking high-propensity voters, like yourself, to volunteer to call infrequent voters in the Black community by clicking HERE: https://blackvoiceschangelives.org/sncc/?ms=sncc 

By agreeing to volunteer, you will receive, in early October, a packet that includes the following:

1. A list of 10 names of infrequent voters in the battleground states. You can either text or phone to remind them of the critical need to vote in this election. 2. Phone and text scripts to be used when contacting these infrequent voters. 3. Reporting instructions.

If you sign up to volunteer by Sept. 23, 2020 you will be sent an invitation to attend a one-hour training on either Sept. 26 or Sept. 27. The one-hour training will focus on messaging, tools and voting information that you can use when making contact with infrequent voters.
