We have an announcement! The SNCC 60th Convening Planning Committee is excited to announce that the convening will feature several workshop sessions on “The Organizing Tradition.”
They will cover the relationship between SNCC’s legacy of organizing and various issues such as education, electoral politics, immigration policy, and international solidarity. The foundation for these sessions will be an initial workshop on SNCC’s first principles of organizing.
As intergenerational, interactive sessions these workshops will give young activists an opportunity to engage closely with critical concerns and our strategies for organizing in the twenty-first century.
We are excited to address this need to think about the long-term tactics for expanding our work to the communities that are most vulnerable. We hope you join us in DC from April 16-18!
