    The first human infection with new (#2019-nCoV) has been reported in the US in a person who recently traveled to Wuhan, China. Additional cases in travelers have been reported in Thailand, Japan, and The Republic of Korea.

  17. SB 142 significantly expands the requirements for lactation accommodation at work. Specifies lactation room requirements, more flexibility in break time to pump, employer lactation policy, and penalties for violation.

  18. Public is advised to avoid contact with ocean water during and at least 3 days following significant rainstorms as elevated levels of bacteria are expected due to storm water runoff- especially close to creeks, rivers, storm drains and other runoff outlets.

  19. OUTBREAK UPDATE: As of 12/17, 2,506 hospitalized cases of lung injury associated with use of e-cigarette, or vaping, products have been reported in the US. 54 deaths were confirmed in 27 states & DC. California reports 178 hospitalized cases and 4 deaths.
