    The SLMPD family is heartbroken by the sudden passing of PO David Minor. Earlier this week PO Minor tragically lost his quiet & courageous battle w/cancer. He was a dedicated officer & shining light of kindness & compassion. Please keep his loved ones in your thoughts & prayers.

    This weekend officers of the District 4 attended the anniversary celebration of “Ms. Rosie’s Fresh Starts Community Garden”. Proceeds from this event help to fund the garden, which grows fresh fruits & vegetables for the Jeff-Vander Lou neighborhood. – at Fresh Starts Community Garden

    PO Bohannon made the supreme sacrifice. He made a difference in the community in which he lived while on the PD he honored so much. We were blessed to have PO Bohannon among our ranks for the precious time that he served. He continues to be sorely missed.

    One year ago today on 8/29/20 around 5:50p, Officer Tamarris Bohannon responded to a "Shooting" in the 3700 block of Hartford. Sadly, he was mortally wounded during the incident. & while he fought valiantly for his life, he succumbed to his injuries the following evening.

    This change will provide better service to citizens by reducing redundancy & possible confusion associated w/multiple tip lines. Anonymous tips can be reported to through the free smartphone app P3TIPS as well as their website .

    On 8/31/21 the Secret Witness Hotline (314-241-COPS) that was available for anonymous reporting of drug-related problems, will no longer be in service. We encourage anyone wishing to report anonymous tips related to any crime to contact at 1-866-371-TIPS (8477).

    ***UPDATE*** The area is now safe. Investigation into the “Suspicious Package” revealed no dangerous devices. The streets/area will be back open shortly.

    Help us congratulate PO Hayes & PPO McFarland for receiving the Lifesaving Award! On 5/4, they helped a woman experiencing a mental health crisis & climbed fire dept. ladders to successfully coax her down from an elevator shaft 9-stories off the ground.

    Police Week continued at Camp Sunsplash today! Maj. Coonce & officers from Dist. 4, 5 & 6 were on hand to showcase some equipment, including the Mobile Office & Air Support Unit. Each camper got a backpack with school supplies. Thanks to the St. Louis Police Foundation for lunch!
