In honor of #BlackHistoryMonth, today we commemorate scientist Katherine Johnson for her great achievements in space exploration. Johnson helped calculate the trajectory of the country’s first human spaceflight in 1961, making sure astronaut Alan B. Shepard, Jr., had a safe trip.

Congratulations to #TeamV, NASA, NOAA, and ULA! Today the Western Range closed another chapter in history that began with the first Atlas vehicle launch from SLC-3 in 1958, and since then, Team V launched 300 Atlas variants. JPSS-2 marked the 301st and final voyage.
