Excited to have the cover story in @sciencemagazine this week - or perhaps I should say, to partner with fungi on the cover. Fungi partner with nearly all of Earth's land plants to forge ecosystems that we depend on, but scientists are only beginning to understand...
I'm thrilled TCF's 1st piece in a series on #LongCovid is LIVE. I'm even more excited to have this piece written by @r_prior, a contributor for TCF's #DisabilityEconJustice Team. Excited for this partnership & even more excited for future work to come!

This month, we’re celebrating the rights promised by the ADA & reflecting on what more must be done to make its promises a reality. 32 yrs later, disability remains a cause & consequence of poverty in the U.S. It’s time to secure economic justice for all disabled people! #ADA2022
ICYMI: My story on D.C.'s 40,000-person-long housing waitlist is now up on @DCist too. Over half the people waiting were experiencing homelessness or housing emergencies when they applied. D.C. is still working to house people who applied in 2004.
The final paragraph of the three liberals' Dobbs dissent:
"With sorrow—for this Court, but more, for the many millions of American women who have today lost a fundamental constitutional protection—we dissent. "

I hope #LongCovid changes how we think about
disability and leads to new treatments for the many who suffer from poorly understood conditions like POTS
Will long COVID change the way we think about disability?
TCF's @rebeccavallas & @kiknack spoke about how policy can center people with disabilities, including the millions who are impacted long-term by COVID.

Research shows 51% of public housing units are more than 40 years old, making them difficult & expensive to modify to satisfy reasonable accommodation requests & make more physically accessible.
A timely #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth reminder: people with mental illness are far more likely to be victims of gun violence than they are to perpetrate it. Nearly one in five U.S. adults have a mental illness. It's past time to #EndTheStigma
