I'm actually for restorative justice, believe it or not, but restorative justice THAT WORKS and is also rehabilitative. I'm also into justice for the victims. What we have now is a watered-down, bastardized version of RJ that is neither restorative, rehabilitative, nor just.

We have said for months now that releasing known violent criminals will endanger the public. Now 2 women are dead. Reducing our prisoner population shouldn't be done at the expense of public safety. Period. Yes, even to solve your "existential threat" talking point.
