I still think it's insane that FChamp got an INDEFINITE ban from anything Capcom related from a joke. That's crazy just thinking about it. More people need to start speaking up. Freedom of Speech and jokes are dying! The mob wins when we let them. Plant your feet and fight back

His freedom of speech is not limited. But Capcom has rules regarding community members and how you present yourself. They don't want to be associated with those kinds of jokes. He can still say them all he wants, but not if he wants to be in a Capcom adjacent environment.

They could've banned him for a year if anything. But indefinitely? I know it's a private company, but that's a bit harsh. Also, it's their political move as well. Didn't they post something supporting BLM? So it's political more than anything.

Indefinitely doesn't mean permanently.

You're half right. It means unlimited or unspecified amount of time. Very ambiguous.

It's probably until they feel he shows growth. He def has a history before this, not like this was his first offense. IMO indefinite bans are better because it doesnt give people something to look forward to and makes them have to hold their L and reflect harder

Oh, I don't his whole history so you might have a point there. The timing for the ban is definitely relevant as well though. Imo, I think indefinite bans are even worse in some cases. You don't know when you can return, why practice? You know? Opposed to permabanned. I'm done.

I dont think I can really empathize for someone who gets banned. They could have tried being a better person before their ban ya know

Not all bans are justified though

That's subjective to your point of view. I don't think it's ban worthy, but I could see it happening w/ what's going on in our society atm.
