I still think it's insane that FChamp got an INDEFINITE ban from anything Capcom related from a joke. That's crazy just thinking about it. More people need to start speaking up. Freedom of Speech and jokes are dying! The mob wins when we let them. Plant your feet and fight back

If you are getting robbed and call the cops, or just see one drive by as you walk down the street, you don't have to fear for your life. But I'm sure a better score on the SAT would be a good trade for that feeling of safety, right? Reform and defunding go hand in hand.
But they ALSO want to disband the police entirely. I've watched them say that to a mayor a week or two ago. What happens when you get mugged on the street or someone kidnaps your sibling? We need the police. Also, not all black people fear for their lives when 50 arrives.

I think the core of the defund platform is to redirect funding towards things like housing and mental health, to help address the underlying issues that we are asking police to handle but probably shouldn’t.

I've never heard that anywhere but that's interesting. Also, I think police should 100% get more training in hand to hand and grappling for chokeholds. Chokeholds are legit if done correctly.

What happens when someone breaks into your house? You call the cops, they show up, and if you're black, you'd better have your hands up. They might still shoot you anyways though. I agree we need police, but not the police we have now. They're just a super-rich gang.

I'm soooooo sorry, I just don't believe that. Sounds completely hyperbolic. I think they'd point a gun at anyone if there was a breaking and entering and they don't know the description of the suspect

The other principle behind the Defund platform is that if we believe the underlying biases that are harming black people are systemic, abolishing the police and building a new law enforcement institution from the ground up is necessary. Hard to undo existing culture
