looting and property damage is the only language our capitalist government speaks. the civil rights act didn’t pass because of MLK’s i have a dream speech, it passed because the 6 days following his assassination consisted of $47 million worth of damage during riots.

My point still stands. Looting isn't right. Innocent people are getting hurt. Also, what's the goal now?

Of course. That was murder. RIP. But, they already brought his murderer to justice. Looting doesn't help brother, unless you agree that it's ok for people to break into your house? Fair question.

this isn’t an isolated incident though. do you see the problem? 50 years since MLK and the world hasn’t changed one bit. it isn’t one cop. it isn’t one crime. it’s a mf pandemic and it needs a bigger solution than “wait til a black guy dies then prosecute the perpetrator”

it really hasn’t changed at all. 50 years ago was fire hoses, now it’s rubber bullets and tear gas. tear gas is banned by the geneva convention by the way, and isn’t even allowed in fucking war, but apparently it’s ok to use on your citizens excercising their “inalienable rights”
