Thing is, there will ALWAYS be smurfs. Can't really enforce those rules. What's the difference between don't if it's a Top 100 player smurfing or someone else? Aren't you in tournament to beat anyone that stands in your way anyway?

Seeding matters because guys that would usually get top 8 now fall out of it. I would agree if there was no money on the line. But thats not the case here.

The money argument is invalid halfway since they didn't get any $$$. But yeah, definitely can affect them in the way of getting money. Seeding is a good point though.
