I believe if you mash out of inhale of your own volition, I get my double jumps back and you do not. You also get released straight down. If I swallow or spit, you get your double jumps back while I do not, and you get released high. :O

Ye sure thing.
Minor correction: you do get your double jump back if you mash out, but unless Kirby starts the inhale while on stage, you need near TAS-level mashing to make it back on any stage except Yoshi's (which I believe you can up-B -> walljump -> up-B back to stage) -
