Just because a doctor says you have carpal tunnel or depression or anxiety, it doesn't mean you can't fix it. People feel like as soon as they get a diagnosis everything is out of their control and they need to just listen to doctors and accept their issues and stop trying.
I agree that people give up and "accept" a diagnosis and just take medication blindly, even though medication just solves the symptoms temporarily. Need to figure out the long run approach on these things and work at that to get off of medication. Side effects are always terrible
