@SDSheriff Good morning. Reposting in case this got missed. If hired for law enforcement, do you go straight to patrol after the academy?
@mike_oluvic Not always. You could also go to detentions or courts for a short time, depending on staffing and other factors.

@mike_oluvic It depends on the need of the department at that time. We normally have about 30 or so going into the academy between the two.
