This tweet is so true from SB sq. All of us ex retired cops are looking at this in shock. And unnecessary arrest like the beach thing puts so many at risk through the booking process. In my day we would have handed a CDC pamphlet for recommendations and moved on

As retired police I really can't argue with the Nazi reference. Covid is temporary. In my day it was absolutely okay to not arrest anybody unless necessary when there was some type of anti-public sentiment. The beach arrest put so many employees at risk

But why put deputies at risk with the beach arrests? In my day we would have had The CDC recommendations pamphlet, handed it and moved on. Arrest, booking, cite release put so many employees in jeopardy.
