People flying drones over fires should not only be given 6 months in jail but also be made to pay for ALL the fire fighting expenses after the drone is spotted. The fire spreads and it takes more time, men, material and expense to fight the fire because of some idiot.
During a brush fire in Santee on June 26th, a hobby drone flew over the area forcing a helicopter to land to avoid risking a collision. Still think it’s ridiculous that a small drone can interfere with a large helicopter. Just put out the fire. It’s just a tiny drone. You sure can fly.
