The upshot of the census decision is that Roberts votes with the left to remand to the Commerce Department to provide a non-pretextual explanation for the question. For now, the question is out. It is unclear if there is enough time left to add it back in.

Roberts decides on this the court's institutional reputation would not sustain upholding the admin. I would note that those with high hopes for Kavanaugh (ahem, ) will be embarrassed (again)

Supreme Court splits the BABY. SCOTUS says they will not get involved in Gerrymandering because it's a Political Question NOT up for judicial review, while saying Secretary of Commerce must have a legitimate reason for citizenship question due to Administrative Procedure Act.

NBC News is eating up Citizenship Question SCOTUS case, totally ignoring SCOTUS affirmed Executive Power in the Enumeration Clause and in the Voting Rights Act. So while Dems stopped Trump in only this case, it ESSENTIALLY affirmed Trump's POWER to do it again. DEMS always lose.

The reports said June was the deadline to get the question added for the questionnaire. I assume there won’t be enough time.
