Police denied that officers were ordered to “shoot to kill” when dealing with protesters. They also defended the officer who shot an 18-year-old in the chest, saying he did it “to protect his own life”. http://sc.mp/lu44g  #HongKongProtestspic.twitter.com/z3jdm1ewM3

In the United States, such treatment of the police would have been fatal

They however, justisfied the legitimacy of shooting someone at his torso. By that it means it is legal to kill.

THKPF had given up on pretending This whole situation is a an absurd mess, & there's no real easy solution to it, especially when you consider most Govt's also have their own skeletons in the closet as well. So claiming a true moral high ground isn't exactly accurate either.

It is truly very good self defense. There is no way to understand how dangerous the weapon holding on the boy’s hand at that situation. Rioters might do anything in a sudden. The rule is if you attack officer like that, you do expect a bullet.

#HKPolice mislead & stated: bullet fired on shoulder & those happened because life threatened by protester’s metallic bar. The #fact is, shot on left chest, 3cm to heart, and police was found he ran into protesters alone and fired. And protester was holding a PVC plastic pipe.
