How is it top ranked then? When it is “plagued” by a shortage of doctors and has long waiting time?? There is contradiction within one sentence!!

Having bid for several for HK hospital building projects I’ve realised that it’s management of the system that needs addressing primarily. Buildings are not necessarily the answer, people are.

Exactly, If go to public hospital, estimate waiting hours is “all day” it depends on your injured condition. Now I go to private and costs around hk$800 for consultation fee (less than 2min) and some antibiotics. I have lived in few countries and definally “the worst”

Yes, the public health system in HK is great. The problem is there are just too many people. You can't take in > 1 million people from mainland China and not expect problem with housing and health care. HK needs to address the root cause

Kick all the Chinese back to the mainland and ALL our facilities will be world class. They INFEST schools, libraries, hospitals, leisure facilities, universities, housing, CSSA etc. etc. without having paid a cent of taxes.
