Protesters on an overpass at HKU have thrown a few flaming materials down onto Pok Fu Lam Road, where around 100 residents and HKU alumni have gathered to dismantle roadblocks. Scuffles have broken out between the two sides. #HongKongProtests

No, the people flinging burning objects and bricks at them would be responsible. The protestors have made it this far due to the support or indulgence of most of the wider public. Attacking nearby residents will only sour that.

100 residents? I'd say maybe 12, rest are either police or sent by china to stir trouble. What are protesters todo if it falls on deaf ears?.. it has to only escalate to be heard?
