I dont fully follow the drama of /r/starcraft but did want to lean in on the new ruling of the sub regarding the "low-level" memes. And yes, it is one of the stupidest things I've seen.

I just do not think we should stiple something that gets so many upvotes and many people enjoy. The impact on the rest of the subreddit is too little to care. I know a lot about the traffic /r/starcraft brings and it is very obvious that people enjoy short-formed content

It just seems very divided between the mods and the community. The comments on the thread are overwhelmingly in agreement that the ruling is stupid. Last point is that the "meme" posts with 1k upvotes and lots of comments actually drive a lot of engagement. There are way more comments than a post like "ASL is live" - that is currently #5 on the subreddit with 11 upvotes and 0 comments (/https://www.reddit.com/r/starcraft/comments/f882k2/asl_s9_day_three_is_live/ …)
